| Sugar Black - "Souljah Story"
Reggae singer Sugar Black is the newest thing to hit the Reggae market. Coming from Westmoreland and Kingston Jamaica, he’s been compared to such artists as the late great Bob Marley and Freddy McGregor. A great singer and lyricist, in high school Sugar Black recorded his first single, which went #2 on the British Reggae, and Caribbean Charts. His single "Oh Jah" was top ten on mp3.com for a year.

Biography In
1994 while still attending high school he auditioned for pent house records where
he recorded his first single "Stephanie" which was a smash hit
reaching #2 on the British and Caribbean reggae charts. Which lead him to tour
numerous countries in Europe. In May 2001 sugar did a performance at the UCLA Reggae & Jazz Festival held in California. While in California he also preformed with Fully Fullwood band at the monthly club Vybz event in Long Beach. Sugar also performed alongside Mr. Vegas at the 6th Anniversary party for Jamaica Gold at the Century Club in Los Angeles. Sugar has been
known to work with artist such as Garnett Silk, Buju Banton, and
is currently working Beres Hammond. This rising talent has completed his
work on the Madacy/Henry K. Productions compilation reggae rock, a tribute
to rock-n-roll featuring artist like Steel Pulse, Toots, & Maytals, Sugar
Minott, and Big Mountain. Currently Sugar Black is preparing to release his debut album "Souljah Story" in late 2004 on ADEX Records, and Issachar Muzik. |
